Your First Guitar Chords

<< Back To The Lessons

When you are first starting to play the guitar, learning basic chords is something that will help you progress and give you a foundation to start learning your favorite songs.

Chord Tip

Make sure when practicing your chords that you play each string separately. If you hear any strings buzzing you might need to press down harder. If any strings are muted make sure you position your fingers so they don't hit the other strings. In the beginning having your fingers all bunched up might feel awkward but keep with it. It WILL get easier.
